- Use balsamic vinegar instead of lemon juice. They both add acidity to the marinade to aid in tenderizing the meat.

- Use four cloves of fresh garlic and mince or crush them before adding to the marinade in place of the garlic powder.
- Use tamari or coconut aminos for soy sauce to make the recipe keto and gluten-free.

Beef Marinade Recipe FAQs
There are three key components to any good marinade. You need an acid, an oil, and a seasoning such as salt. Salt is almost always used. Acids can be vinegar or juice, such as lemon or lime. Oil is typically olive, avocado, or a neutral-flavored oil like vegetable oil. The seasoning base begins with salt in any form, or soy sauce. The flavor of the marinade is further enhanced with herbs, garlic, onion, hot sauce, etc.
My easy failproof way of marinating is by putting your marinade and meat into a sealable bag. Squeeze out as much air as possible and put on a plate in the fridge until you're ready to cook! More for a minimum of 5 hours is quite common for the most tenderizing and flavor.
The basics are following a classic marinade formula of using an acid, fat, and seasonings. Vinegar, olive oil, salt, herbs, and spices are mixed together before placing the steak and marinade in a plastic bag. Marinade in the fridge for a minimum of 5 hours and a maximum of 24 hours for a perfectly juicy and flavorful steak.
Allow your steak to cool, transfer to an air-tight container, and keep it in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Transfer your steak to a microwave-safe dish and microwave at 50% powder, in 30-second increments or until your steak is heated to your desired temperature.
