Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ small onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup frozen or fresh pitted cherries
- ¾ cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ¼ teaspoon chipotle powder or chipotle chili seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Sauté onion until softened, about 3–4 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.
- Stir in cherries, ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire, smoked paprika, and cayenne.
