Why You'll ❤️ Maple Balsamic Dressing

"I love the maple twist on this balsamic vinaigrette recipe and that it takes less than less than 5 minutes - PLUS it's so much better than store-bought dressing!"

Looking for recipes that use this dressing? Try these Balsamic Pork Chops where it's used as a glaze or this fantastic Strawberry Goat Cheese Salad. Give them a try and let me know what you think! 🙂

Many uses! Enjoy this homemade salad dressing not just on salad but as a glaze on a protein, as a marinade, or just dip bread and veggies in it! There are so many possibilities with this robust maple balsamic dressing.

Quick and easy. All you have to do is measure your ingredients, combine them in a bowl and use a blender to add your oil slowly. You can have this dressing made in less than 5 minutes and can easily store the leftovers!

It's healthy. This recipe is vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, paleo, low carb, and if you use a maple syrup substitute you can adapt this to a keto and a sugar-free diet!

🥘 What You'll Need

Here are the ingredients and tools you will need to make maple balsamic dressing:

Ingredients

Extra Virgin Olive oil

Balsamic vinegar

Real maple syrup - for the best taste use real maple syrup. If you are following a sugar-free or keto diet substitute a sugar free version.

Lemon - you'll need the lemon juice and lemon zest.

Dijon mustard

Coarse ground pepper

Kosher salt

For exact ingredient quantities, please see the recipe card below!

🔪 How To Make It

Here are the step-by-step instructions for making maple balsamic dressing:

Combine

First, measure and add all the ingredients except the olive oil into a small mixing bowl.

Whisk all ingredients together until combined.

Add oil

Next, while whisking, slowly add the extra virgin olive oil to the blended liquid until the dressing has combined (emulsified).

Season and serve

Season your dressing additionally to your taste and enjoy!

🥗 How To Serve

Here are a few ways to serve maple balsamic dressing:

Salad dressing - drizzle over the top of your favorite salad to add lots of flavor while keeping it healthy. This goes very well in a salad with goat cheese, dried cranberries, and walnuts.

Marinade - easily use this dressing as a flavorful marinade on your favorite protein! I suggest chicken, pork, fish, and vegetables.

Glaze - bake chicken or pork chops and use this dressing as a glaze while cooking. Bonus: serve with a side of the dressing as a dipping sauce!

Dip - use this dressing as a dip and serve with vegetables or cubed-up sourdough bread. So delicious!

📖 Variations

Here are a few ways you can vary or make substitutions to this recipe:

  • Spice it up with a dash of red pepper flakes to the dressing before blending!
  • Add any additional seasonings of your choice. I suggest fresh or ground ginger, garlic, or even finely minced onion.
  • Feel free to substitute dijon mustard with your favorite kind of mustard.

💭 Top Tips

  • Make sure you add your oil slowly to your mixture. This will incorporate the oil and prevent the oil from separating from the other ingredients.
  • Adjust any seasoning or ingredient to your liking.
  • If you do not have a hand blender, you can also use a whisk to mix.
