"One of my favorite things about cold brew is the foam. This is my take on Starbuck's vanilla cold foam. It's tastes amazing + it's quick and easy!" 🙂 -Kori

  • It's Easy. Only three ingredients and a couple of minutes are all you need to make this vanilla sweet cream cold foam recipe!
  • Versatile. The beautiful thing - you can easily adapt this to your tastes. See my notes under the Variation section.
  • It's cheap to make. This is considerably cheaper than store-bought cold foam - even if you invest in an electric frother. Over time it will pay for itself.
  • Make it Healthy! This recipe is gluten free, low carb, and keto. If you use a sugar substitute, it will also be sugar-free. Hooray for that!

Cold Foam Recipe Ingredients

Here what you'll need to make this vanilla sweet cream cold foam recipe. For full details please see the recipe card below.

  • Heavy Whipping Cream - If using an electric milk frother it is very easy to whip up whole milk, or even oat milk.
  • Sweetener - to sweeten use powdered sugar or a sugar substitute with a sugar ratio of 1:1. I also use a sugar substitute usually Swerve, monk fruit, erythritol, or allulose. Cold foam does not need to be sweetened if you prefer it better that way.
  • Optional Vanilla Extract - you do not have to flavor your cold foam with any extract if you don't want to. If you do use vanilla make sure you use pure vanilla extract.

Be sure to see the recipe card below for ingredient quantities and full instructions!

Sweet Cream Cold Foam Recipe Variations

  • Make this cold foam unsweetened if you'd rather.
  • Make it dairy-free with oat milk. Oat milk froths up like a dream in the electric milk frother.
  • To make a low carb and keto cold foam use a sugar substitute such as erythritol or monk fruit.
  • If you prefer it plain omit the vanilla.
  • Use a different extract to create different flavors - mint, almond, and so on...
  • Use store-bought sweetened syrups to flavor the cream.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of pumpkin puree to make a pumpkin cold foam.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup to make chocolate cold foam.
