    Why You'll ❤️ This

"Do you love trying to make new coffee recipes as much as I do? This is a must-make recipe to try at home! It's so easy to make and customize to your liking. One of my new favorites for sure!"

    Delicious

This is our take on Starbucks honey almond milk cold brew recipe and its sheer coffee perfection! It's a light not-too-sweet taste that is nicely balanced between the cold brew, milk, and honey.

    No Drive-Through

This coffee is so easy there is no need to spend your time or money in the drive-through! 🙂 PLUS - you can customize it to your exact taste.

    Healthy

Almond milk is non-dairy and honey is an all-natural sweetener and has a lower glycemic index than regular sugar (that means your blood sugar won't spike as fast which is better for you).

Did you know that honey also has anti-inflammatory properties, is anti-bacterial, and has lots of vitamins and minerals that are good for you? It's a guilt-free "indulgence".

    🥘 What You'll Need

    Ingredients

Here are the ingredients you will need to make this Honey Almond Milk Cold Brew:

    • Cold Brew Coffee - I purchased a pre-made cold brew coffee from my local grocery store or you can make your own. You can find my recipe for how to make a cold brew at home using a french press or if you don't have a French press, try this version.
    • Honey Simple Syrup - Check out the FAQ section below for the recipe on how to make this syrup. It is literally honey and water - it super simple and makes enough for multiple drinks!
    • Almond Milk - I used unsweetened almond milk in my recipe but you can use whatever kind you would like! Using unsweetened keeps it with no added sugars and lower-calorie too. You can also use different kinds of nut milk.
    • Ice

    🔪 How To Make It

Here are the step-by-step instructions for making Honey Almondmilk Cold Brew:

    Prep

Start by preparing your honey simple syrup ahead of time - it's super simple and will flavor multiple glasses of cold brew!

    Ingredients

First, in your pint glass, add the simple syrup, almond milk, and cold brew.

    Stir to combine.

    Ice

Top off your glass with ice, leaving room for cold foam or other syrup if needed.

    🥗 How To Serve It

Here are a few ways to serve Honey Almondmilk Cold Brew coffee:

    • My favorite way to serve this is topped with cold foam. Trust me, it adds so much to the drink with little effort. Hint: sweeten your cold foam with honey.
    • Cinnamon is a great compliment to honey. You could add a dash or two of cinnamon to the top of your glass for sipping or stir it into your coffee if using a straw.
    • Add a tiny amount of vanilla extract or almond extract to boost the flavor without adding more sweetener.

    📖 Variations

Here are a few ways you can vary or make substitutions to this recipe:

    • Substitute cream, milk, any nut milk, or oat milk in this drink.
    • Don't like honey? Substitute caramel, mocha sauce, molasses, maple syrup or any sugar substitutes, raw sugar cane, monk fruit sweeteners, and so on!

    💭 Top Tips

    • Make your honey simple syrup ahead of time and store in the refrigerator until needed! Makes multiple coffee drinks (it also sweetens cocktails). See the recipe in the FAQ section!
    • If making your own cold brew coffee, make it 24 hours before you will need it.

    ❓FAQs

How To Make Honey Simple Syrup

    Makes 3/4 cup

    Ingredients

    • 8 tablespoons honey
    • 4 tablespoons warm water

    Instructions

    1. Dissolve honey in warm water. Cool.
    2. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
    3. Use to sweeten coffee, beverages, and cocktails.
How sweet is honey almond milk cold brew?

When I tried this drink from Starbucks, I was expecting it to be much sweeter than it actually was. It is slightly sweet, but not overly so. I found it perfect, actually. You'll get an equal balance of coffee, with a subtle taste of honey and almond.

The beauty of making this at home - you can adjust the sweetness to your liking!

Is cold brew with almond milk healthy?

Almond milk is lower in calories, lactose-free, and has no saturated fat. It is also gluten-free and vegan. Anyone with allergies to dairy can enjoy a cold brew. To keep your cold brew healthier, reduce the amount of sweetener used and try honey or a natural sugar substitute.
