A super simple way to cook cauliflower by microwave steaming it. Serve the cauliflower as is with butter, salt, and pepper, or use it in many recipes as a pasta replacement.
Place cauliflower florets (fresh or frozen) in a large microwave-safe dish and add ¼ to ½ cup of water. Cover with a lid.
For fresh cauliflower, microwave on high, approximately 4 minutes until crisp-tender, or until your desired tenderness is reached. For frozen cauliflower, cooking time will increase to approximately 6 to 8 minutes. Check frequently.
Drain well and serve.

VARIATIONS: The same microwave steaming technique can be used on broccoli, carrots, and more. Be sure to adjust cooking time if needed. Use fresh or frozen cauliflower. If using frozen cauliflower, increase microwave cooking time by 2 to 3 minutes.
