Add the butter, parmesan, chives, parsley, thyme, garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix until well combined.
Lay butter on plastic wrap and shape into a log that is approximately 1-1/4" in diameter with flat ends.
Wrap tightly in the plastic wrap, then refrigerate until it is hard (usually about 1 to 2 hours).
Divide and cut the butter into 10 parts.
Place a pat of steak butter on top of resting steaks. Loosely cover in foil and finish resting the steaks as desired.

VARIATIONS: Try different cheeses like maybe blue cheese or other.Use dried herbs or fresh herbs. My rule of thumb is that every 1 teaspoon of dried herbs = 1 tablespoon of fresh herbs. Experiment with different herb combinations. Add in a little Worcestershire sauce. Add in a little lemon zest and lemon juice. Or even lime.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Not just for steaks! Try it over popcorn, corn on the cob, veggies, baked potatoes, pasta, rice, etc.!
