Instructions
Prep
Mix all the dry rub ingredients in a small bowl.
Place chicken wings in a large bowl and toss with olive oil. Sprinkle dry rub over chicken coating evenly.
Place wings in an airtight container or gallon sized plastic bag and refrigerate about 2 hours, up to 24 hours.
Cook your wings using your favorite method below - grilled, baked, air fryer, or crock pot.
Grilled BBQ Wings
Grease grill grates. Preheat grill to medium heat, about 400℉.
Place wings on the grill face down. Grill 10 minutes. Turn the chicken pieces over and grill another 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165℉
Baked BBQ Wings
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Place wings on the baking sheet and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until they reach 165℉.
Tip: wingettes may be substituted. Bake at 375 for 35 to 42 minutes, or until done.
Air Fryer BBQ Wings
Preheat air fryer to 375 degrees F.
Working in 2 batches, add wings to the air fryer basket. Cook 20 to 25 minutes or until done, turning halfway. Repeat the process with the second batch.
Tip: keep the first batch warm while the second batch is cooking. Place back in the air fryer for a couple of minutes to re-crisp.
BBQ Wings in Crock Pot
Set oven to broil and oven rack to 6" away from the top. Place wings on a baking sheet and broil on all sides until golden.
Coat crockpot with nonstick spray. Place wings in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours or until done (165℉).
Tip: every crockpot cooks a little differently, check the temperature of the chicken after 3 hours.
