Air fryer crab cakes are so delicious, EASY, and healthy. This version uses pork rinds instead of bread crumbs for the crust, resulting in a crispy outside and tender inside. Oh YUM. Make some now and freeze some for later.
In a medium-sized bowl mix crabmeat, parmesan, mayonnaise, eggs, chives, parsley, old bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Form 4 patties about 1" thick.
Place pork rinds in a small bowl then press each salmon cake into the bowl of pork rinds. Firmly press coating into each patty then repeat with the second side.
Add crabcakes to the air fryer and spray with olive oil spray.
Air fry 5 minutes, turn crab cakes over and spritz the other side with olive oil spray.
Cook an additional 5 minutes, or until golden brown and done.

TOP TIP: Make sure crab meat is well drained. Use 100% olive oil spray to give the crab cakes a crispy golden crust. Crush original flavored pork rinds in a plastic bag - they don't have to be perfect and finely crushed, some chunks make for a tasty crust!
SUBSTITUTIONS: Crush your own pork rinds in a plastic bag, or buy pre0-crushed also known as pork panko. If not following a low carb or keto plan you can use regular or seasoned panko bread crumbs. Try different cheeses or herbs. You can also substitute canned salmon for crab.

How to Reheat Crab Cakes in Air Fryer
Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees.
Place crab cakes in the basket and cook until heated through - about 4 to 5 minutes.
How to Make Frozen Crab Cakes in Air Fryer
Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees and place the frozen crab cakes in air fryer.
Cook approximately 10 to 15 minutes until warmed through, flipping the crab cakes halfway through.
Note that each recipe, air fryer, and size of crab cakes vary and may alter the cooking time. Adjust time and temperature accordingly.
