Prime Rib Roast Garlic Cloves Salt Pepper Olive Oil Fresh Herbs
Make small slits in the roast and insert garlic slices.
Mix olive oil, herbs, and pepper in a bowl and rub all over the roast.
Cover the entire roast in salt, pressing it on firmly. Wrap in foil for 1 to 2 days.
Remove foil and roast the prime rib on the rack of a roasting pan.
Remove from oven when desired internal temperature is reached. Tent with foil and let rest.
Serve with au jus and horseradish sauce.
